Édouard Manet, a key figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism, painted "The Luncheon on the Grass" between 1862 and 1863.
Originally titled "Le Bain" (The Bath), this large oil on canvas painting challenged the conventions of its time with its depiction of a nude woman picnicking with two fully clothed men in a rural setting. Inspired by Renaissance art, particularly the poses from works such as Titian's "Pastoral Concert," Manet's composition rejected traditional academic norms.
The stark contrasts and flatness presented a new approach to light and form, paving the way for modern art movements. Despite initial scandal and controversy, "The Luncheon on the Grass" remains a seminal work in art history, illustrating Manet's pivotal role in the evolution of Western art.

Offices in Brooklyn with an additional warehouse in Michigan. All items ship fast from the US!
When will it ship?
Packing time is just 1-2 business days (except made to order items). Priority shipping available.
Shipping and Returns?
We offer free US shipping on orders over $50. Shipping rates for other US orders are based on weight and begin at $6.99. Returns within 30 days are available on request – just message help@getbullish.com for assistance!

Do you ship to my country?
We ship to nearly every country in the world with UPS International (3-7 business days) and DHL (1-3 business days).
Note that we no longer offer USPS international shipping due to increasingly complicated customs, tariffs, etc. While UPS and DHL can be pricy, the items arrive promptly and duties-paid 📬
Items we cannot ship internationally include food, body products, liquids include lavatory mists, made to order apparel and drinkware, and wooden items if going to Australia. Nearly everything else can be shipped anywhere.
