Retro Ladies | Shannon Martin | Cute and Funny Retro Magnets, Sticky Notes, Notepads

The retro lady of mid-century illustration was always depicted doing something domestic with an expression that suggested she had opinions about it. She was smiling, but her eyes said something else entirely. She was holding a casserole dish, but she was thinking about the revolution.

More About the Collection

The artists who've reclaimed that aesthetic — the pencil skirts, the victory rolls, the perfectly arched brow — have given her back her voice, and it turns out she has a lot to say.

This collection is built around that tradition: retro illustration with modern, unfiltered commentary. Nearly 400 products spanning magnets, sticky notes, notepads, greeting cards, pill boxes, luggage tags, compact mirrors, manicure kits, oven mitts, and more — all featuring the kind of humor that a 1950s housewife would have kept to herself and we are now putting on the refrigerator.

Shannon Martin Design anchors the collection with her signature retro-illustrated magnets, sticky notes, notepads, luggage tags, compact mirrors, and manicure kits — all featuring the kind of wit that looks polished and hits hard. Ümlaut Brooklyn brings the retro greeting cards and notepads for people who communicate primarily through sarcasm and well-timed profanity. FringePop delivers the handmade retro pinup pill boxes, covering everything from "Medicated for Your Protection" to "Fresh Outta Fucks." Dean Morris Cards handles the British sweary greeting card territory. Fly Paper Products adds more retro-illustrated magnets with a sharp sense of humor. Ephemera covers the feminist and self-aware fridge magnet commentary. GetBullish originals round out the collection with made-by-us retro-adjacent apparel and accessories. Sourpuss brings the rockabilly pinup coasters and patches.
