Virtuous Vandalism Stickies at GetBullish | Adhesive Notes of Protest Against Hate, Homophobia, Fascism, Etc.
Sometimes the most virtuous thing you can do is stick it to the system – literally. Our Virtuous Vandalism collection features stickers that make statements, challenge norms, and give voice to what you're really thinking when the world seems to have lost its mind.
Each pack contains 50 adhesive notes designed to combat and cover problematic signage you encounter in the wild – from subway platforms to office buildings to public spaces.
Styles include:
Real Americans Fight Fascists Not Become Them
Homophobia is Bad for Everyone
Transphobia is Gross
Nazi Bullshit Not Welcome Here
There Can Never Be a Justification for Genocide
Hate is Not Welcome Here
Our activist sticky notes continue this tradition of peaceful resistance against hate speech and offensive public messaging. Perfect for anyone who refuses to let offensive messages go unchallenged but prefers constructive action over confrontation. These aren't about destruction – they're about transformation, turning spaces filled with hate into spaces that affirm human dignity and social justice.
Covering existing graffiti, hate speech, or offensive messaging on public property – whether it's created by actual vandals or by organizations in positions of power – with removable sticky notes generally falls under protected free speech rather than vandalism, since you're not permanently altering or damaging property. However, laws vary by location, so use your judgment and know your local regulations. The goal isn't to break laws – it's to use legal tools to reclaim public spaces from messages that harm our communities.
Why does this matter? When hateful messages go unchallenged in public spaces, they normalize intolerance and make vulnerable community members feel unsafe. Counter-messaging – whether through art, stickers, or peaceful protest – demonstrates that hate doesn't represent our values. Speaking up against discrimination in whatever legal way you can isn't just important – it's necessary for maintaining inclusive, welcoming communities where everyone belongs. Silence in the face of hate speech can be interpreted as complicity. These sticky notes offer a practical, legal way to push back against messages that dehumanize or threaten marginalized groups.
Carry them in your bag, keep them at your desk, or share them with friends who believe in using creativity to fight back against intolerance. Each protest note is a small act of defiance that makes this dumpster fire a little less dumpsterlike.
Suitable for people interested feminism, LGBTQ rights, democracy, peace, Palestine, anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, basic human decency.
Warning: May cause spontaneous outbreaks of meaningful conversations and sudden urges to question authority.

The origin of virtuous vandalism
Virtuous Vandalism came about when our founder discovered that a homophobic fast food restaurant was doing a pop-up in her office building, and there were posters in every elevator. Wanting to express displeasure but not wanting to be fined by her landlord, these stickies were born! (Sadly, they arrived well after the homophobic chicken had departed.) Since then, we’ve noticed drastically more offensive signage – even in liberal Brooklyn – and thus our list of topics has increased.
Where to Use Virtuous Vandalism Stickies
-
On offensive advertising you cannot easily remove or alter – for example, a poster under glass at a bus station
-
On campus signage that students could get in trouble for removing – you could still get in trouble for sticky notes, but wouldn't that make the administration look ridiculous?
-
Your neighborhood homophobe's mailbox?Anywhere that would reassure your neighbors that not everyone is a hateful, pitiful excuse for a person!
FAQ About Virtuous Vandalism
What are these?
Sticky notes of protest! Available in six styles:
Real Americans Fight Fascists Not Become Them
Homophobia is Bad for Everyone
Transphobia is Gross
Nazi Bullshit Not Welcome Here
There Can Never Be a Justification for Genocide
Hate is Not Welcome Here
Are they regular sticky notes?
Pretty much, but they have a larger adhesive area on the back since we want them to stay put a bit. It's still non-damaging, easy to remove, normal sticky note adhesive, so it would be hard for anyone to claim you were damaging property by using them.
How many in a pack?
50. That's kind of a lot of protest!
Can I carry these in my store?
Yes, Virtuous Vandalism and our whole wholesale line are available at https://www.faire.com/direct/getbullish
Why don't you make these for conservatives, surely you don't want to alienate half the country!
I do, in fact, want to alienate half the country. If you're kicking your queer teens out of your house and talking for years about needing guns to rise up against tyranny only to now go along with a fascist attempted dictatorship, I really don't need to sell you sticky notes or a tea cozy or anything at all.
Besides, we are a small business, and there are 340 million people in America. I think a potential market of 170 million is more than sufficient.
Can I have free shipping?
We offer free US shipping over $50, so you'll need to buy some more items! Fortunately, we also offer original apparel, stickers, sticker books, buttons, keychains and more.

About GetBullish
We're a woman-owned company operating from our sunny warehouse in Brooklyn's Industry City. Since 2010, we've grown from a woman-powered career advice column into a curated gift shop specializing in snarky, irreverent products that make people laugh – and sometimes make them think. From our signature sweary stickers and tees to our famous "bitter tears of mediocre men" keychains, we design and curate products that blend humor with a dash of rebellion. While we started with woman-power focused accessories (our mascot is a rainbow bull with a unicorn horn – a "bullicorn," naturally), we've expanded to include gifts for everyone who appreciates smart humor and wordplay. Shipping daily from Brooklyn with love and a heavy dose of attitude.
