Mother's Day was invented in 1908 by Anna Jarvis, who spent the rest of her life trying to get it abolished after greeting card companies turned her heartfelt tribute into a commercial juggernaut. She died broke and bitter, having never married or had children herself. We think she would have appreciated this collection.
