Harriet Tubman African American Women Rulers Wooden Ruler

A Ruler of the World is a 12-inch wooden ruler, made in the U.S.A. of American-grown basswood (which comes from the linden tree), printed with non-toxic ink and coated with a clear lacquer.

One side of the ruler has measurements both in inches (in 1/16” increments) and centimeters (in millimeter increments). The other side of the ruler has a list of “rulers,” by which we mean leaders in their field.

These are, in our opinion, the most significant people (or sometimes animals, buildings etc.) in that particular category.

On top of the ruler is an illustrated head, which is a portrait of one of the people on the list, chosen by us to be one of the most illustrative of the category.
